Cowboys & Aliens, Overhyped or Worth the Wait?

So where do we begin, if you have already seen the trailer for this flick, you know it pulls you in and makes you ask questions. I'll be honest I'm not really a fan of westerns besides the fact that I loved Tombstone and Young Guns. That being said seeing Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig on screen together seemed intriguing. Ford has been in some of the most iconic movies of our time, so when I first heard of the casting, I knew I had to see it. I mean with Favreau at the helm, Craig as the muscle (with a really cool bracelet gun I would have loved to have as a kid) and Ford with the experience...you can't go wrong, right? Let's not forget Sam Rockwell which is a always a good addition and last but not least the eye candy of Olivia Wilde. This film has all the ingredients of being a huge hit. I'm gonna go ahead and say I liked it even though some parts dragged and some plot points were questionable. But the action was great and the ending was well done for my taste. The aliens were stenciled copies of previous films but it was fun to see the "What if aliens attacked cowboys?" question brought to light. This film by no means takes my favorite movie award but is a good addition to the summer blockbusters, even though it was tied with the Smurfs at the box office. I say go check it out for Harrison Ford's presence and the rest of the well rounded cast.
