Machete Review

Machete is a comedically violent action film that can only be the product of Robert Rodriguez and Troublemaker studios. Even with the racist commentary the film manages to address current immigration issues of today. I could not think of a better role for Danny Trejo, it further extends the role he played in Desperado as the knife flinging assassin. Michelle Rodriguez gives a solid performance as the revolutionary head of "The Network". Jessica Alba also stars as an immigration agent. One of my favorite characters in the film besides Cheech Marin, was the surprisingly believable character played by Steven Seagal in which he portrays a Mexican drug lord. Even for the few words he spoke in Spanish, it did not sound bad, "impressive Mr Seagal". If your looking for blood, gore, racist commentary, comedy and action then this film should not disappoint you.
